With so much information in an astrology chart--mirroring the complexity of our nature--there are endless aspects of our personality to discover and explore while studying one's chart.

          If you have never had your chart read, it's best to receive a general chart reading.  This will provide you with an overall understanding of your chart, map out your psychological orientation, highlight the gifts that are unique to your personality, and clarify various ways of handling the psychological blocks and inevitable life challenges that come your way.

         Alternatively, some schedule an appointment to explore specific issues--problems related to forming or sustaining intimate relationships, concerns with sexuality or intimacy, questions about work direction or spiritual orientations, etc.  During these reading we still refer to all the aspects of the chart, but dig deeper--therapeutically--into the issues of concern.

        Another way to explore the charts is to focus on transits and progressions.  Transits refer to the movement of the planets in current time that activate the various parts of the birth chart.  For example, the Sun moves around the entire chart and comes back to its exact birth position once a year--on your birthday!--while Saturn takes 28-30 years to complete its cycle.  Progressions illuminate the course of our inner development, like an inner time clock that guides our personal growth and maturation.  This type of reading highlights the changing opportunities and challenges that emerge at different stages of our life.
